  • I don’t want to be “salesy”
  • I don’t what to be like……..
  • I hate marketing!
  • I hate networking!
  • I don’t want to have to beg………

The truth is Marketing and Sales is something you do EVERY day.  You sell ideas to your client’s.  You SELL to your children and to your partner pretty much every day.

Generally speaking we have no problem of using our awesome skills of rapport, negotiation and persuasion in these contexts.  In fact we rarely think of these communication skills as sales skills – but they are.  The value exchange however isn’t tied up with money.  AND that is where we become uncomfortable.

Because we are the EXPERTS in building relationships.  We teach people how to build relationships every day.  We work with people at their most vulnerable and least empowered.  If we can negotiate with a client to make a change in these circumstances, what makes you think you can’t “sell” your services to a prospective client?
