I recently had the experience where I wrote what I thought was awesome sales copy – then I shared it with people I trusted. I quickly learned my awesome copy had totally missed the mark.
I’m awesome at offline marketing. Give me the opportunity to speak face to face with someone and I know what to do and how to do it regardless of who I am speaking to. I grew my business very quickly generating hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue year after year using offline marketing – that I know. Ask me to write it and I quickly lose something.
As a clinician I’ve been writing clinically for 20 years. As an online marketer and copy writer I’ve been writing for what feels like 4 minutes. So, you can guess which one I am much more practiced at.
I’ve also had quite a lot of failures when it comes to writing online marketing copy, so my confidence is poor.
So, I sought help. AND in this video my fabulous friend, colleague and fixer of online marketing material Nicola Moras talks us through how we autopsied my first attempt and then she reconstructed it – using what was in my head.
