I’ve had a few people ask me recently:

“Jo… what’s happened to your podcast?”

It’s a fair question.

The Entrepreneurial Clinician podcast hasn’t disappeared — but the way it’s being made has changed.

Over the past while, my capacity has shifted. Between health, life, and the reality of running a business, I’ve had to become far more intentional about what I say yes to — and how I sustain the work I care about without burning myself out.

Rather than quietly letting the podcast fade, I made a different decision.

Producing the Podcast Differently — and More Sustainably

This season, I’m producing The Entrepreneurial Clinician podcast myself.

That means I’m handling the recording, editing, publishing, and all the behind-the-scenes work — at a pace that actually works for me. It’s slower. It’s more hands-on. And it’s far more honest.

The conversations haven’t gone away.

If anything, they’ve deepened.

I’m still speaking with thoughtful clinicians, business owners, and leaders about the real issues we face in allied health and private practice — burnout, ethics, sustainability, identity, and what it really means to build a business that doesn’t cost us our health.

What has changed is how the podcast fits into my life.

Why Sustainability Matters (Especially in Health Professions)

I’m building this season in a way that respects capacity — mine, and the people I serve. That matters deeply to me, particularly in professions where exhaustion is often normalised and “pushing through” is quietly rewarded.

I don’t believe good work has to come at the cost of our wellbeing.

And I don’t believe thoughtful conversations should disappear simply because they’re not produced at breakneck speed.

A Listener-Supported Podcast

Alongside this shift, I’ve also created something new.

I’ve set up a Buy Me a Coffee page for The Entrepreneurial Clinician podcast.

Not as a paywall.
Not as a traditional fundraiser.

More like an invitation.

If the podcast has ever made you pause, think differently, or feel a little less alone in your work, buying me a coffee is a simple way to support the show continuing — and to sit a little closer to the work.

In that space, I share occasional reflections, short voice notes, and thoughts that don’t always make it into the final episodes. It’s the messy middle of independent podcasting, shared honestly and without polish.

There’s no fixed schedule. Some months will be quieter than others. That’s intentional.

This podcast only works if it’s human and sustainable.

So if you’ve been wondering what’s happened — that’s the answer.

The podcast is still here.
I’m still here.
I’m just doing it differently now.
