Hey fabulous health professional,
I had the opportunity to chat with an incredible health practitioner last week.
He has a double degree in both rehabilitation counselling and with physiotherapy. He lives and breathes “mind-body” rehabilitation and a truly integrated whole person approach to recovery. I’ve seen his brilliant work first hand and I know the commitment he has to his clients and his craft.
The thing is, he’s been stuck in a cycle of wash, rinse, repeat. I’ve watched him bounce between salaried employment, study and self-employment for as long as I’ve known him.
And yet, he has these brilliant ideas – even MILLION DOLLAR ideas – that would benefit so many people who NEED what he has to offer.
Today, he is still employed by someone else, earning a salary and scared to share his passion for fear of it being “ripped off” and bastardised (a legitimate fear at that, according to his past experiences).
But I had to ask him – DUDE – what are you doing????? (anyone who knows me, knows I get straight to the point) and why are you doing this to YOURSELF and YOUR FAMILY?????
He sighed and responded, “Jo – I just don’t know what to do.”
The rest of our discussion was actually pretty amazing. We discovered that:
- He believed that he should know what to do to bring his ideas into a successful money making venture,
- He felt like a failure because he didn’t know how to do this,
- And he wanted the security of a “ job” and a salary but was conflicted because he knew if he could just get his idea off the ground then he would be doing the best he knew he could do for his clients.
Is this you, too???
We didn’t go to uni or college to learn how to build a product or a profitable service – we only learned how to take care of people and help them get their lives back. No small feat in itself, hey?
So it’s no surprise that we don’t have the business, sales and marketing skills to be able to turn our ideas into money.
So please, don’t beat yourself up.
But…. don’t just sit there.
I want to tell you now, there are no quick fixes. But the information and support you need IS OUT THERE to transform your ideas into income.

Oh god, that sounded scary didn’t it?
It’s not. As a health professional, you already know how to have these conversations with people. You already know how to inspire action and change in others.
Here’s the key: It’s not about features and benefits.
Your marketing efforts and conversations MUST be about telling the people who will get the most benefits out of your service or product EXACTLY HOW your big idea will get them THE RESULT THEY NEED.
Your clients’ needs come first… and your solution will naturally follow.
